When the Super Bowl is played this year

Traditionally, the football championship final is held two weeks after the games that decide the two conferences, or heirs to the old independent leagues, the AFC and NFC

The playoff schedule has remained more or less unchanged over the years and is decided in three weeks, in which the number of contenders is reduced to two. The first week sees facing each other the teams that have won the so-called wild card, that is, access to a sort of preliminary round among the formations that did not win on the field the so-called bye, the right to land directly in the next round.

The following week, in what in Europe would be the quarter-finals, it is decided who will play for the conference title. The divisional round games are normally heartfelt, so much so that they make it the "best weekend of the year" for fans. The semifinals decide the winners of the NFC and AFC, the teams that will play for the NFL champion's ring. Since the NFL season consists of a very limited number of games, the league for years has been trying to add games as television rights holders pay sky-high sums to broadcast them. This is the first season with 17 games in the regular season, which explains why the Super Bowl will be held a week later than the traditional date, the first week of February.

Super Bowl LVII will therefore be held on February 12, 2023. As is often the case for games in the western United States, much of the first half will be played in natural light.

Where the Super Bowl takes place

Since the first one in 1967, since it faced teams from two leagues between which there was bad blood, it was decided that the game would be played on a neutral field, a venue decided before the season began, sometimes years in advance. It happens, then, that sometimes one of the teams plays in the home stadium, which has happened several times in the past. Only recently has the curse of the home team always losing ended: in the last two years, both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams have won in their own stadiums.

While 1967 was played at the National Coliseum in Los Angeles, over the years not all NFL franchise facilities have hosted a Super Bowl.

How come?

Because the facilities are not suitable, because it is too cold, because there are not enough hotel rooms, the reasons are many. This explains why some southern cities, Miami and New Orleans in the lead, have hosted the game of the year many times while other football capitals such as Boston, Green Bay or Pittsburgh have never made it. This year's final will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, a super-modern enclosed arena that normally hosts Cardinals games.

In keeping with the tradition of recent years, the NFL already decided last year when the next two Super Bowls will be held: the 2024 edition will be played at the brand-new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with the sporting event of the year making its absolute debut in the famous Sin City. In 2025, however, it's back to tradition: for the 11th time, the Super Bowl circus will return to the Superdome in New Orleans.

How to fly to the Super Bowl in comfort and luxury

Wonder how you could reach Arizona in comfort and relax?

Let's face it: commercial airlines won't guarantee you that, and the reason is very simple.

Foremost, you will be obliged to fly along with strangers and have prying eyes during the whole flight. Secondly, because you will have to wait a lot – a lot – before departure, due to check in controls and boarding procedures.

Not to mention that you must adapt to the airline availability, that means:

  • Possible layovers
  • Downtime

In other words, not a pleasure!

Given these problems, opting to a private jet could be a great solution, as you will benefit from several advantages, such as:

  1. You can decide the date and the time of departure
  2. You can be at the airport thirty minutes prior to take off
  3. You will save lots of valuable time
  4. It's you who decides whom to fly with
  5. You will be able to customize the flight with the services you prefer.

What kind of service, you may wonder?

Just to mention some of them, you can have beauty treatments, massages, catering service with a chef and a barman, luxury suites, and maxi screen with sound cinema effects.

So, are you ready to take off? If so, do not hesitate to contact us at any time!
